Katie Hestla and Heather Schroeder-Lewis, are the women behind Head Dresss. Over the years, Katie has been called upon by friends to put her artistic talents to work on their wedding veils. Heather was inspired after shopping for twelve months and not finding the perfect veil for her own wedding, collaborated with Hestla to bring Head Dress to fruition.

The partnership of these two women makes perfect sense together they have formal education in both art and fashion. Hestla graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Fine Arts focusing on 3-dimensional design. Lewis received her B.S. in Fashion Merchandising from Florida State University.

Katie has been a life-long artist. She started her career as a painter and earned a Bachelors in Fine Arts with an emphasis in 3-dimensional design from the University of Alabama. Making her living as an artist doing faux finishes, murals, and commissioned paintings, Katie was also the Senior Art Restoration expert for a prominent Orlando based antique dealer. In addition she was also the Visual Merchandiser for Universal Studios. Katie is a Florida Native and is married with two kids.

Heather Schroeder-Lewis

Heather received her Bachelors Degree in Business Fashion and Fashion Merchandising from Florida State University. Following in her mother's footsteps after college, she was a Fashion Buyer for six years with Federated Department Stores. Heather is experienced in Fashion Design as well as Event Planning and has always had a sharp eye for spotting the next big fashion trend while staying on the leading edge of the fashion industry. She was a Creative Manager in Entertainment at Universal Studios and Universal City Walk in Orlando. She is a native to Orlando, Florida and has been married for two years.
